Greta Gerwig is set to direct the adaptation of the Louisa May Alcott classic.

Greta Gerwig has lined up more A-list talent for her Little Women.

Laura Dern is in talks to join Meryl Streep in Sony’s adaptation of the Louisa May Alcott classic. The movie will reunite Gerwig with her Lady Bird actors Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet, who are also in talks to star in the Columbia Pictures project, along with Emma Stone, Florence Pugh and James Norton.

Little Women follows sisters Amy, Jo, Beth and Meg and their mother in Civil War-era Massachusetts as they navigate growing up, first loves and Christmas without their father.

Gerwig penned the screen adaptation of the novel, which Columbia previously made into a 1994 feature with Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Susan Sarandon and Kirsten Dunst.

Amy Pascal will produce alongside Denise Di Novi and Robin Swicord. Andrea Giannetti will oversee the production for Columbia.

Dern, who is repped by CAA and Untitled, recently picked up an Emmy nomination for her role in HBO’s The Tale and will star opposite Kristen Stewart in the upcoming JT Leroy, which will close this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. She recently wrapped production on Noah Baumbach’s next feature and is set for the second season of HBO’s Big Little Lies, which will co-star Streep.

SO SORRY, I really thought I had added them first thing when I opened this fansite. My bad.
What can I say? My very first Laura Dern experience, Jurassic Park is the first movie I saw her into and my most favorite Trilogy. I watch it basically at least once a month, if not more.
Since tomorrow I’m leaving for vacation, I thought I’d leave you here for a week with double the fun, by posting twice and now two movies. Enjoy!
